Posted 4/25/16 I graduated from Purdue with a BS in Vocational Home Economics and a MS in Education in 1972. I lived in Plymouth, IN, for 7 years and taught at LaVille HS, just south of South Bend. In 1977 I decided it was time for a change and moved to the NE suburban Orlando area and started teaching in Seminole County. I met my husband, Michael, in 1986 and we married in 1990. Believe it or not, he grew up in Ft. Wayne and went to IU. We were certainly a house divided a few times a year! I retired in 2007 and Mike passed away from cancer a few months later. We had bought a retirement home in Bonita Springs (between Naples and Ft. Myers) and I currently live there. I love the tropical feel and slower pace of the area. As the song goes..."I got my toes in the water, toes in the sand, not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand, life is good today...life is good today." |
