The following timeline is a quick summary of my past 50 years:
1970 - Graduated from Brigham Young University in Elementary Education and married John P Broberg 1971 1981 We had five wonderful children Christian, David, Susan, Kent and Janae and John worked as a teacher and counselor in Jr. High School in Orem, Utah 1985 Moved to Oklahoma for John to get his Doctorate Degree and I got my Masters Degree in Child Development 1986 1996 Lived in Shawnee, Oklahoma where John was a Superintendent of schools and I was a mom and worked as a school librarian 1997 2005 Lived in St George, UT where John worked as a Superintendent and also started a Charter High School for Performing Arts Our last child graduated from HS and I worked in various education jobs. All five of our children married and launched their careers. 2005 2008 Lived in Salt Lake City, UT John was director of Charter Schools for the State and I was a school librarian. Then we both retired! 2010 2011 Lived in Copenhagen, Denmark, while serving a mission for our church running a center for young adults 2013 2014 Lived in Auckland, New Zealand, while serving a mission for our church, assisting other with Family History 1999 2016 Added 18 grandchildren to our family (the newest granddaughter was born May 2016) Last July we had a family reunion with the whole group and the picture is attached The Broberg Beach Bash I wish I could attend the Class Reunion, but the month of June is too full, with going to Duluth, Minnesota for a celebration of Boyd (my brother, who passed away last December) and a time-share week in Escondido, California. We know you all will have a good time! |
