My past 50 years…

STATUS: Married, widowed, divorced, 2 sons, a daughter, 2 grandsons and raised a step-daughter. HOME: Darmstadt, Mainz and Queidersbach, Germany, San Antonio, Hampton, Tampa, Colorado Springs and IN.

CAREER: Stay at Home Mom. Admin Secretary, Business Owner, Interior Designer, Web Designer, Event Planner, Sales/Marketing, MLM/Relationship Marketing, Volunteer/Fundraising Chairperson for Schools/Non-Profits, etc.

TRAVEL: 16 countries and 37 states.

After high school I attended Vincennes University where I met my husband, Joe. In 1969 after he returned from Vietnam we married and moved to Hampton, VA. Within months we moved to Germany and spent four years camping all over Europe with family and friends. In 1971 we welcomed our first son, Bradley. Soon after moving to Tampa, FL in 1974 our second son, Rodney was born. After a year in Ft Carson, CO we returned to Germany where our daughter Lynsey was born completing our family in 1979. Once again we traveled, became avid volksmarchers (hikers) and have great memories of visits with family and friends.

On Nov 17, 1980 my husband died unexpectedly. I moved back to WL, enrolled my sons in Morton School and started mapping out my new life. On January 21st my 18month old daughter was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. After living at Riley Hospital for the next six months and my sons at grandparents I bought a home in Indianapolis. Due to the high medical costs we moved in 1982 to San Antonio, Texas where she continued her care at the USAF Medical Ctr. While there my boys excelled in sports, my daughter had numerous surgeries, I owned an Interior Design business and served on non-profit boards.

In 1988 I remarried and moved to Germany. I kept busy serving on community/school boards, as a representative for 34 companies and supporting children’s sports and activities. Our travels included many eastern bloc countries and family ski trips in the Alps.

In 1993 due to my daughter’s heart failure we returned to Texas and my sons transferred from colleges in Ohio and Germany. I stayed very busy with my daughter, our businesses and volunteering. At the age of 15 my daughter received the Gift of Life, but in her 4th year of college she died unexpectedly. After her death in 2001 and my divorce in 2005 I moved to Gilbert, Arizona and returned to designing.

My only claim to fame…I spent six years investigating a female con-artist after my son was one of her victims. In 2010 the “Military Mistress” was seen on TV, print and online worldwide.

My sons, Bradley 44, has a home in South Dakota but he and his girlfriend spend little time there since his job moves him often. Rodney 41, a Respiratory Therapist moved his family to Indiana in 2009 and convinced me to move and care for his toddler sons, Gavin and Gunnar while he and his wife, a NICU nurse work nights in the hospital.

My life now... I’m traveling, enjoying life, my grandsons, making new friends, helping people look, feel and live better while sharing Nerium Anti-Aging for the Face, Body and Mind. Spending summers in Indiana and winters in Florida or Arizona. I look forward to new adventures as my business continues to expand worldwide.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.
