Posted 5/15/16 I'll try to sum up my life since high school as briefly as possible. I graduated from Purdue in 1970 with a degree in Elementary Ed and taught school for 5 years before meeting and marrying Joe Hart. He was a computer engineer at Cummins in Columbus IN, and we have lived here ever since 1975 when we got married. We had 3 children, Brian, 39, Sarah, 38, and Emily, 32. We are also blessed with 5 grandchildren, 2 girls and 3 boys, who range in age from 1 week to 9 years old. I was fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom, and I loved every minute of it. During that time I taught piano out of my home, which I found rewarding. I had a job teaching 3rd grade at a Christian school once our children were grown, until the school closed due to lack of funds. Joe retired last June, so we have enjoyed some travelimg. We took a driving trip out West last fall and covererd 16 states. Wr drove 7000 miles, seeing many of our National Parks. Now I enjoy quilting, knitting, reading, walking, and gardening. I'm looking forward to seeing many of you in June. |
