Posted 4/21/16 I attended WL schools from 4th grade through 10th, when my family moved to a farm outside of Crawfordsville. I've missed seeing my childhood friends, and was happy to be invited to this reunion. I really enjoyed seeing the class photos. I served 4 years in the Navy after getting my degree at Purdue, including Vietnam service. I have worked for 40 years in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue, originally supervising staff doing text processing, teaching the use of computers and planning and implementing office automation equipment. I became the first webmaster for the school in 1993, and have worked on many projects in web development. I am currently Manager of Web, Multimedia, and AV services for the school, and for the last 3 years have worked part time, and will continue part time until my planned retirement in 2017. I enjoy golf, and am a captain of a team on the Purdue Staff golf league (83 my best score this year), and I've started playing Pickle Ball, which I enjoy a lot. I am a Purdue Master Gardener, and have helped raise over 6,000 lbs a year for the last 3 years in the demonstration gardens The produce is donated to local food pantries and soup kitchens. I am also webmaster for the local master gardener group. I'm happily married, and have a son who served in the Air Force, and is now a Junior at Purdue in Computer Science. |
